Ryland school building for the Aetas

Annie and Andrew Ryland

Last February, Kara attended the wedding of her friends, Annie and Andrew Ryland. It was actually their third wedding. The firsst one was in Singapore, followed by a wedding in London. The couple decided not to accept gifts. Instead, they asked everyone to donate to Project Malasakit. After a few months, they were able to raise 150,000 pesos.

The funds were used to rebuild a Katutubo school for the Aetas of Sitio Malipano in Zambales.

Construction of the Ryland school building is finished thanks to the kind heart of the Rylands, all their donors, to the leadership of Aeta teacher Dave Ba-alan, to the spirit of bayanihan shown by the Aetas and of course... Thanks to Annie and Andrew's inspiring love and compassion.
