Outreach at Pugad Lawin

Last August, Iwitness GMA7 aired the documentary "Mga Anak ng Pugad Lawin", a heart-wrenching documentary on the malnutrition in Mercedes, Camarines Norte.

After the documentary aired, we were swamped with donations from viewers in the Philippines and abroad. We were able to raise more than 75,000 pesos. Kara went back to Mercedes with the Project Malasakit team and volunteers, representatives from Red Cross, Department of Health and the Local Government Unit. It is perhaps our biggest and most successful outreach. It was a medical mission There was feeding and livelihood stalls for more than 200 families.

Ruel Maranan, Cristina Daclis, Juliet Vergara, Bob Andrade, Cherry Regis, Zeus Gaborno, Jim Ferolino, Mariti Sunga, Ani Almario, Julius Sinocruz
