Outreach at Northern Luzon Association for the Blind (NLAB)

Salamat sa aming donors at naging mas masaya ang Pasko ng mga bata ng Northern Luzon Association for the Blind (NLAB), isang eskwelahan para sa mga batang bulag at kapus-palad sa Mountain Province.

The kids received a bag of goodies containing the following items: shoes, toys, slippers, milk, vitamins, personal hygiene stuff, towels, clothes and underwear. But the best gift was: music! Each of the kids got a cellphone with mp3 player. The joy in their faces was just priceless. Salamat po Panginoon

One of the most touching moments was when our coordinator Marjorie Oriel taught  Ana, one of the blind kids how to use her new mp3 player. Ana cried when she heard music thru her headphones. Ana was born blind. Her Christmas wish was to have a gadget where she can hear music. Ana got her wish that day. She cried and embraced everyone when she heard the music coming from her earphones.

Project Malasakit donors gave 24 blind children their very own cellphone/mp3 player. The kids were also given new fluffy toys, though they couldn't see the bright colors or design, they were so excited to hug and touch their new toys.
